We would like to kindly inform you that the Polish Association of Environmental and Natural Resource Economists is organising an International Scientific Conference "Resilient and sustainable economies" to be held on 25-29.IX.2024 in Giby near Augustów. The conference aims to undertake and inspire as broad and in-depth a discussion as possible on the impact of crisis phenomena on the directions, policy and practice of sustainable development. The experience of recent years with the COVID-19 pandemic, new major armed conflicts, and the escalation of the climate crisis indicate how important a scientific and political issue is in terms of the impact of crisis phenomena on the prospects for sustainable development. The successful reorientation of the European Union's and the world's economies towards sustainability requires that economies and societies be more resilient to crisis phenomena, and that responses to current and future crises be more sustainable. Due to the internationalisation of the journal "Economics and Environment", the Board of the Foundation of Environmental and Natural Resource Economists, in agreement with the Foundation Council and the Polish Association of Environmental and Natural Resource Economists, has decided to change the name of the journal to: "Economics and Environment". By the decision of the District Court in Białystok on 13.03.2023, the title of the journal is: "Economics and Environment".
